Australia one day .... Kazakhstan the next ... Tbilisi, Georgia today!
Our names are Peter and Janice Mau. (The MauMau's)
We are in a dacha high in the hills overlooking Gldani and Tbilisi. Cows wander past at varying times, dogs make a racket through the night, as do mozzies! We are surrounded by pines, greenery and wild fruit trees. At night the lights of the city sparkle and twinkle, the streetlamps glittering like dew on spiderwebs.
We've been told that in winter, wolves wander down from the mountain areas, wandering closer in the lower hills where we are situated.
We've visited a monastery perched high on the top of a bluff, overlooking the junction where two large rivers meet, and we've leaned against stone walls over a thousand years old! Just the thought of touching these ancient blocks of stone of a building that is still standing after a thousand years - I marvel at it.
Georgia! I think of Georgia as the world's best kept secret. It's beautiful, the people are big hearted, warm and welcoming. A place you immediately fall in love with and want to stay in. Ignore the media, ignore what larger foreign 'neighbours' say - they have their own agendas. Georgia is a great country with a great people. We recommend you come to Tbilisi and see this amazing, beautiful country for yourself.
So how did WE get here?
Our story is found in our webpages.
Thanks for visiting with us, we wish you well,
God bless,
Pete and Jan Mau TheMauMaus@jannysweb.net
